Who We Are
The District website (www.sausd.k12.ca.us) is the responsibility of the District Web Developer.
What We Do
The District Web Developer administers, develops, and designs the district website. The district website is comprised of several entities, not just the basic web pages. They include the following:
District Pages
The District Web Developer actively maintains and updates the majority of the content on the district website. In addition, the Web Developer is the central contact for receiving new content from the departments to maintain accuracy and relevancy.
School Pages
We provide each school with the ability to develop and maintain their own set of web pages. Limited technical help is also provided. Contact the District Web Developer for additional information.
Calendars
Each school and department can create and maintain an online calendar, available from inside the District as well as from home. Contact the District Web Developer for additional information.
DocuShare
Our department is responsible for maintaining DocuShare, our central document reposistory. Plans are currently in the works to allow access to the documents stored here to be accessible from home. Contact Maggie Brown for additional information.
Sign Me Up
We maintain an online course registration system allowing our SAUSD staff to sign up for classes offered. Private schools located within Santa Ana may contact our department via phone or email regarding courses and training. Contact the District Web Developer for additional information.
BackOffice applications
Web Development is actively working with selected schools and departments to provide online data solutions to help streamline the faculty and staff day-to-day functions through the website.
What We Don't Do
Web Development unfortunately cannot solve everyone's problem. The responsibilities listed above highlight our department's focus. The content the Web Developer receives from other departments is verified for accuracy or usefulness by the department submitting the material. Our department will not create or revise the following:
- Department forms
- Customized school/department web pages that do not conform to the District website appearance
- New electronic documents from physical documents
Contact the appropriate department for content specific questions.
