The director of Special Education provides leadership to all special education programs within the District as well as Health Services.  The district is its own SELPA.  In addition to leadership in all areas, special responsibilities exist in working with school sites on monitoring programs and working toward full inclusion.  The Director also works with programs such as Healthy Tomorrows and other similar grants and supervises the School Nurse program.

The Director is assisted by an assistant director, two coordinators and six program specialists.
